    during his time. On day in the town of Listowel, a bull got mad and ran through the town knocking men, horses and cars. Seán was standing in a shop in Church Street and saw the bull coming towards him. He meditaly made for the bull and caught and him by the horns and nose and put his leg before him and threw him on his side and held him down until the owner came with others to tie him up with ropes. He was a powerfully built man standing about five feet eleven inches high with shoulders like a gent and weighing about 17 stone. He was a jovial character and called every man and boy a Garsom. One day he went for lime to Lixenaw limekill when he arrived there were three others before him and Seán having to go a longer journey than the others asked them to allow him to fill his load first. They all refused and Seán because excited took the horse out from the car and went under the car. He went
