  1. This castle is situated to the south of Ballyduff on main road between Tallow and Ballyduff.
    Some people say that it is the ruins of a monastery. While others say that it is the ruins of a castle, inhabited at one time by the Geraldine family. Very bad state of repair.
    Near ruins is what is locally known as "the Grotto". This is the entrance to what must have been at one time a subterranean passage. Legend tells us that this passage connected Glenbeg House and castle.

  2. This is about two miles to the west of Ballyduff on the Fermoy Lismore road. In ruins. Owned once by some member of the Geraldine family. Cromwell once shelled the castle. A canon ball was found in a sand pit a short distance to the north of castle.
