    6. If a person swallows a sixpenny bit or any other small coin they say if he holds his head in over a can of buttermilk with your mouth open and say "Sláinte na bó" it will come back again.

    9. Sea-weed is a cure for tender-feet.
    10. Woodbine is said to be a cure for sore lips
    11. Hold-fast (a weed) is a cure for cuts
    12. The juice of chicken-weed if rubbed on a sore throat will cure it.
    13. "Dandelion" and soft-thistle are "blood purifiers" used to clean the blood.
