  1. Sráid mhór. This is the name of a field in Tristernagh, It is so called because formerly there was a town there.
    The Bull Ring. This field is so called because in the middle of it there is a round circle with steps to it something like a stairs.
    Long ago, it is said there were bull fights carried on there inside the circle. The people used to stand round about on the steps, watching and judging the fight. Bothairín na marbh is near this hill. This was the road which led to Templecross
