  1. In the summer when the swallows are in Ireland, and fly high it is the sign of fine weather, and when they fly low it is the sign of rain.
    When the sun goes down in the evening in a red ball. it is said the following day will be fine.
    When the distant hills are looking near it is the sign of rain, and when they seem far away, it is the sign of good weather.
    When the surface of a lake or sea is rough it is the sign of wind, and when it is calm it is there sign of fine weather.
