  1. About one mile from my home there was a Ghost to be seen sitting on a stone at Mabestown crossroad for a few mornings. There was a crowd of children coming to school when suddenly one of the little girls stopped and would not pass by. She said that there was an old woman sitting on a stone. She had a cloak on her and it was full of holes and her hands on her knees.
No one saw the woman but the one girl. On the second morning she ran back a bit of the road crying and said that the woman was after her. The place was blessed and the woman was seen no more.
