- (continued from previous page)the townland of Kilbarry. It is called McGlew's fort. At the time of the story Mr McGlew lived in the house where Miss Mary Burn now lives. Some fairies used to go to the house every morning and ask for pots and pans which they used to get. They continued to get them for many years. One morning they came to Mr McGlew and told him that they were going and that there were others coming in their place. They told him not to give them anything or they would never have any luck.3. Mr Burn of Mullagha the same man as got the pot of gold had a fairy bullock.
This bullocks used to follow him to the fair when he would go. Once the bullock was sold and he went quietly with others until he reached Dublin. Then he turned back and Mr Burn was surprised to see him in his field a couple of mornings after. The bullock lived to be very old.4. There are fields in which there are "stray sods" in the town-land of Demailstown. The "stray sods" are in "Tom Raheen" "Michaels field" "Big Sherlock's and the Raheen."(continues on next page)- Collector
