  1. There is an old fence along the road side of a field belonging to Miss Smith Balsaw which could never be kept in repair some years ago as the fairies had a right-of-way there and always knocked down the fence at night after it had been repaired in the daytime. When people got tired repairing that fence they just left it the way it is to be seen to-day.
    This field belonged long ago to a man named Paddy Mohan and he had a strange adventure one night. Having to work away from home during the day-time he had no time to attend to the work of his own farm except at night.
