    the following morning, and had the fire lighted and everything ready for breakfast when his wife got up. This was a very unusual thing for him to do, and something he had not done since he started his career of drunkness.
    When his wife appeared he had a really wonderful tale to relate. It seems that immediately his wife left him the night before a girl appeared to him caught him lightly by the colarof the coat, and threw him against the room door which opened with the imapct. His wife enquired what the girl looked like and he described her minutely. From his description the girl was a sister of his wife's who was dead nine or ten years before then.
