    until one night he came home much later, and much more intoxicated than usual. He sat near the fire and when he had all the foolish things said that a drunken man can say fell soundly asleep.
    As his wife's patience was about worn out she thought of going to bed and leave him take care of himself. When leaving to go to her room she said "if the dead had any power you wouldn't treat me like this". She then retired closing the door of the room after her. She was scarcely in bed when the door of the room which she had closed violently opened just as if it had been struck by a bomb and her husband who was too drunk to stand a few minutes before ran into the room and into bed without divesting himself of his clothes. At six o'clock he was out of bed
