    There is a house on the roadside within a mile of Killarney, where nobody ever spent a while night in without being attacked by the fairies and put out. it is now a ruin, but some years ago when it was in good repair, a party of Tinkers came along very likely on the look-out for lodgings. Some neighbours proved it hospitable and left them in there to rest for the night, whether they knew about the fairies or not. But it is not
