About a hundred years ago and about four miles to the East of Knocknagree Co cork there stood the ruins of an old castle supposed to be haunted. Any person would never venture to pass it after sunset for walking along the road there was to be seen the figure of a woman.
A woman from the district was one day going to the village and her husband told her to bring him some tobacco. When she returned in the evening to her dismay she found she had forgotten the tobacco.
