They are of a dust colour with brown spots. The blackbird builds its nest in hedges + ditches. The nest is made of moss lined with feathers. The colour of the egg is light blue with brownish spots. The thrush builds in ditches and hedges and between branches of trees. The thrushes nest is built with moss + lined with mud + left to dry before the eggs are laid. The egg is of a deep blue colour. The lark builds its nest on the ground in fields + meadows. The egg is a sandy colour. The robin and wren build in hedges + under the eaves of thatched houses. The eggs are much alike in colour. The cuckoo builds no nest but lays its egg in another bird's nest when the young ones fly away. The swallow builds in hay lofts and other buildings which are not in general use. The corncrake builds on the ground in meadows
