There is an old man living near this village, and he is nicknamed Sean an Taidhbhse. This old seanachaidhe tells a tale, that he was with a terrible ugly jump on his back. One night, he was returning home very late from fair of Shrule. He had a few pints taken so felt in a very merry mood. He decided take a short cut home, and crossed up through the grove.
