He came here from the county Longford & started a bicycle shop& he got on well & then he erected a large garage for motor cars etc, & he got on well at this also. Dalystown
Mullingar 12.10.38 - Long ago the church of Tyrrellspass was about two miles in the village in a place called Clonfad. The remains of it are still to be seen in the grave yard.The people thought it was in very bad repair & they called a vestry meeting & they decided to build a new one in 1791. They built it 1792. Everyone in the parish had to pay so much to build it & lend a hand whenever they were wanted & the farmers had to give their horses to draw the stones from the quarry at Gneevebane & this gave great employment to the poor people. When they were going to build it they had to be very particular about(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
