    The people used get the "dubh píle" in McGuans place in Scool in this parish and used bring tin cans of it. The hole is in the place yet but no one uses it. They used to go to the wood and get the bark of some special elder tree. They used boil it with the "dubh píle" it would colour flannel clothes black.
