- (continued from previous page)has the cure for children's fever also. There is another cure for warts also. It is said if we get a straw and put three knots on it and then put it towards the wart, saying, while doing, this three Hail Mary's, the wart will be cured before the straw is withered.
There is a holy well in Killgorey. Some people go to this well to be cured. If they get cured they tie a rag on a bush that is situated near the well. Old people say that in olden times the water used to flow from the trunk of a tree into the well.
