  1. There is a glen not far away from my house and in that glen there is supposed to be a crock of gold under a lone bush. The exact bush is not known at the present day, as other bushes have grown up around it since.
    The gold was stolen many years ago and hidden under this bush. There were three men going to be hanged in Maryborough for being robbers. Two of them are supposed to be from Ardentegle, and when their friends went to pay them a last visit they were told where the gold was.
