  1. There is only one holy well in this district and it is situated in Killgorey. The name of the man who owns the filed in which it is situated is Mr Neill.
    Many people visit this well in the month of May and on certain feasts of the Blessed Virgin.
    The name of the saint who lived in Killgorey was St. Lon. Colomcille came to St. Lon as a guest one time. When he was coming, St. Lon hid his books from him because he was very fond of reading.
