  1. There is a place called the Isle of Man in which a great number of trees grow. This place is situated between the Strand and Tolerton.
    One night two men went to cut an Ash tree to make handles. At that time nobody was allowed to cut Ash, and if they were caught they would be summoned and put in jail. When they were cutting the tree there was great noise.
    When they had it cut down they had to cut it in the middle again because they could not carry it. When they had it cut in the middle they could not take it.
