    There is a woman named Maggie Purcell who has a cure for jaundice. She makes it from herbs. This woman lives in Ardenteggle.
    There are many cures for warts in this district. This is one of them. Go out early in the morning before the sun rises. Get a snail and rub it to the warts. Then stick the snail on a blackthorn bush, and when the snail dies the warts will disappear. There is a woman in Ardenteggle named Mrs Doolen who is able to stop bleeding. There is a woman in Crettyard who is able to raise the breast - bone of a person. This is how she did it. She got a glass and a candle and made the person lean on it and while she was saying "three" the person
