    There was also strong man called Pat Kieran, Dooskey who threw two hundred weight over a tree ten feet high. James Reagon Garron walked ten mile in half an hour. James Con who lived in Carn jumped ten feet high. James Moore lifted a stone that was three hundred weight, and he was also a good dancer and could sing.

  2. There was a man named Flanigan drowned in Tonagh bog seventy years ago. That morning he went out of the house and did not come back. Near dinner time his father went out to look for him. He saw his tracks down to the bog. He went then and got some neighbours to help him to take the man out. They took him out but he was dead.
    About twenty years ago there was a very bad sickness in this district. It
