Signs of good weather: Sun red in the evening; south wind.
The moon shining brightly is a sign of frost. The wind from the north is a sign of snow. The wind from the north-east brings fever on. The wind from the east is neither good for man nor beast. The crows flying about and the swallows flying low is a sign of snow storm.- Collector
