   On Saint Stephen's Day a queer man was seen approaching the town. He was all colours and he wore a coloured hat with tassels on each side. He began walking up and down the town for about half an hour. Then he took out a pair of scissors from his pocket. He went into a shop and a piece of paper which he commenced to cut into queer forms. All the people gathered aroung him and he began to play all sorts of tricks. He made queer things which nobody could understand. In a hour's time everybody threw pennies at him.
   The people of the town set the dogs after him when he was walking up and down. He said that he would kill every dog in the town with his scissors. The children were running after him and he used to frighten them with his scissors. Every child in the town was afraid of him as he was very cross. When the bus came into the town in the evening he went into it and came out again. He went down to a house at the
