  1. The only tailor in this district is James Duggan. He does not travel from house to house but works at home. The tailor does not stock cloth but he keeps patterns.
    Cloth is not spun or woven in this district.
    I do not know any traditions connected with tailors or tailoring. The tailor uses a scissors, tape, needle, machine, and a board or table for cutting out the material on.
    Shirts are not made in this district. Linen sheeting and table-cloths are made from flax but not in this district. Socks and stockings are sometimes knitted.
