People in olden times used to eat three meals in the day. These meals were breakfast, dinner and supper. The breakfast generally consisted of porridge and milk. The dinner consisted of potatoes and buttermilk and the supper consisted of the same. It was a custom for the people to sit around the table in the centre of the floor. The table when not in use was hung up against the wall. Bread made from oats was the bread they ate.
