- There are two forges in this parish. The names of the smiths are Dan O'Connell and Mr Coffey.
There people have not been smiths. Rossadrehid forge is about 20 yards from Rossadrehid cross, and in a yard belonging to Michael Bourke, and the second is in Bansha in Mrs. Dwyer's yard.
The doors are not of any special shape. Both forges have but one fireplace each. The bellows were not made locally, but they were bought in some shop.
The smiths do not shoe cattle, but he shoes horses, ponies and asses. The smiths long ago made farm implements(continues on next page)- Collector
