- I live in the townland of Shinana in the parish of Bansha, and in the Barony of Clanwilliam. It is a very small townland withonly two families including nin people residing in it.
One of the houses is slate-covered and the other one had an sinc roof.
There is no account of how this townland got its name.
No aged person lives in it. Houses were more numerous in former times than they (were) are at present as some of the people have died out of it. There are four old houses which are now in ruins but which were occupied in recent times.
