  1. There are no customs or stories connected with horses in this district. Their fodder generally consists of hay, oats and mangles.
    The people of this district get their horses shod int he local forge.
    Horses are generally clipped in the winter time. The horses bred in this district are principally for farm work. A horse known as "The Farmer's Boy" was the only horse that became famous.
