- Holy Thursday is sometimes called clipping Thursday because it is said that Our Lords nails, toe nails and beard were cut of by the Jews. The people go to the church on Good Friday at three o'clock to adore Jesus.
- St. Brigid's Day falls on the first of February. In some parts, young girls go from house to house on St. Brigid's Eve, an old custom collecting alms.
