  1. I have often heard people reciting poetry about "Myles the Slasher" and "The Bridge of Finea" but they do not know who write them. In the poem, "the Bridge of Finea" it says that Myles the Slasher was killed there.

  2. The Government gave the men work at making roads and it was called "Public Works". The road from Ballinagh to Cavan, is supposed to have been made during that period.
