  1. There is a field on the farm of Mr. John Reilly Stragella, called the "Big Field". It is situated about a mile and a half from Cavan town, and it got its name, because long ago big football matches were played there. There is another field on the same farm called the "Bothean", because a man named Napoleon was found dead in that field.
