  1. It is said that if you do not eat meat on St. Stephens Day, you will never have any sickness during they year. If man sows his potatoes on Good Friday it is said he will not have one bad potato in his crop. If a child is born on "Hallow Eve" night, he is supposed to be very clever, and brave. On "Chalk Sunday" the boys go around and Chalk the people whom they think will soon be married.
