It is said that a man named Fleming tried to build a fort, so that he could see the ships on the ocean. But unfortunately he never succeeded in doing so. Before it was finished, he was killed by a fall. This fort still remains to be seen.
- Just outside Kilfree Co. Sligo, there is a lake known as "Balor's Lake."
It gets it's name from a great, big eye in the bottom of it. Every century the eye sucks up all the water out of the lake, in about the(continues on next page)
