    One time there was a priest and he went into a house and a woman gave him his breakfast. She put the tea on a plate for him to eat. He said, "Excuse me, ma'am, that is not the way. Have you the kettle boiling and I will show you how to make tea." He then asked her, had she a teapot and she said she had not. Instead she gave him a noggin and he put the tea in it and then he put the water on the tea, and left it to draw. "Now ma'am that is the way to make tea," said he

    Once upon a time a young boy was late for school. The master asked the boy what kept him. The boy said, "I was standing at a corner, and there were two men standing nearby also. As the funeral passed, one man said, "Isn't it very sad about the poor devil," and I wanted to see the devil's funeral.
