    the bride would wear a long cloth cloak with a white cap with borders on it nicely turned with the heating iron having on it a blue band or bow. The bridegroom would wear a long scented coat of frys with brass buttons, the britches would be of cordroy buttoned tight at the knees with with three or four brass buttons wearing home made knitted socks. They wore low strong nailed shoes having a white homemade plated linen shirt wee done from the iron with a scarf to suit the occasion and a high decard hat. When the ceremony would be over at the chapel it was a grand thing to see what they used to call the hauling home. All the men on horseback with the women seated at the back to the home of the newly married couple. At that there was very few cars.
