  1. To see the hen picking her feathers is the sign of basd weather It is said if you see the robin coming into a house it is the sign of bad weather. It is also said that if you see the blackbird coming towards the house it is the sign of rain. If you see the sun coming out early it is the sign that the day will be dull or wet. If you see the smoke going up straight into the sky it is the sign of a clear in the weather. It is said if the wind is coming from the north it is the sign of snow. If you see the cat with its back to the fire it is the sign of frost If you see wild geese going towards the lake (in the Galtees) it is the sign of bad weather.
