  1. Shrove is the usual time for marriages to take place in this locality.
Marriages are usually brought about by matchmakers.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are considered lucky days for marriages.
    Saturday is considered unlucky.
The month of May is also considered unlucky.
It is the custom to throw rice on the couple as they leave the church.
It is also the custom to have the car in which they travel neatly decorated.
If the bride and bridegroom are wealthy they go on a honey moon after their wedding.
Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all.
Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses, Saturday no day at all.
