  1. Local Cures
If a man has toothaches the best cure is to make a vow not to shave himself on a Sunday. If a woman had toothaches the best cure is to make a vow never to comb her hair on a Friday. Another cure for toothaches is to smoke a pipe.
    1. If a person has warts he should steal a piece of meat and rub it to the wart and then bury it. As the meat is decaying the warts go away.
    2. The person should get a snail and rub it to the warts and then tie it to a sgeac [?] bush and as the snail withers the warts wither also.
The best cure for a pain in the stomach is to get two stones and spit on them three times and rub them together and then lay them on the road in the form of the cross.
