There was a frog spread in a well...

There was a frog spread in a well
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
And a merry mouse in the mill
    Pididdle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie
Says the frog I'm going to court
    Ve-va-linken-laddidalie
With my boots as black as soot
    Pididdle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie
Says Miss Mouse I can court none
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
Uncle Rat is not at home
    Pididdle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie
    In comes my uncle Rat
    Ve-va-linken-laddidalie
He kicks, he thumps, he raps and he calls
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie
I wish we had some music here
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
It would set the company all in cheer
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie.
    In came the busy bee
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
And her fiddle upon her knee
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie.
In comes the big black snail
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
And his bag pipes under his tail
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie.
    In comes the neighbour's duck
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
Swallow her, bachelor head and pluck.
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, iddil-addidalie.
    In comes the butter fly
    Ve-va-linken laddiddlie
Sat on the table very shy
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, illil-addidalie
    In comes the neighbour's sow
    Ve-va-linken-laddiddlie
Setting the company all in a row
    Piddiddle-addiddlie, illil-addidalie.
