    6. Lists of Irish words and phrases that has been adopted into the popular English speech.
    cléibhín = large basket woven from willow (sally) rods. square shaped.
    ciseán = small basket for eggs. "eris" handle of criall.
    criall = larger than a 'cléibhín', also made from rods - complete with 2 handles.
    párdóg = cléibhín with loose bottom, to let out manure when 'top-dressing' fields (in conversation) - & "among spoons".
    leadar = blow - 'ladar' - in washing clothes - "Do not put in your 'ladar'.
    cleatóg = blow (along the lug - (ear) )
    leadóg = blow - sciolp - cut of a rod or whip.
    clout = blow
    cliotar-cleatar = noise caused by loud talking and gossip.
    clibín - matted hair on child's head, frayed dress; hanging and matted hair on cows.
    ciotóg - left handed or footed.
    cruibín - pig's foot
    sciath - sour or useless milk.
    sugán - little bundle of hay used for a seat on meadow.
    foidín mearbhaill - will of the wisp (straying sod) - (People used to turn coat)
    féar gorta - People used to bring a handful of oaten meal when walking, lest they should walk on the féar gorta - Policemen also, used to take oatmeal when going on patrol.
    Bacóg - armful - "Go out for a bacóg of turf.
    mám - handful of flour or meal
    glám - handful or pinch (of blackberries) out of a loaf or cake.
    (to) slug - to drink quickly, also noun a big 'slug' of milk.
    fuinneamh - strength - said when playing hand ball or a strong stroke in tennis.
