   It brought the trees out by the roots It lasted for three days and three nights There was a big rain fall. It flooded many houses and many people were lost in houses. The land was flooded and all animals were smothered. It rained for three nights and three days without stopping. There was a very big storm and there were many drifts and they were five foot high. It lasted for a fortnight on the ground. It was very hard for people to live with the cold and many animals were lost in the snow.
