  1. There are many harmful weeds on a farm, namely, thistles, rushes, taney crow foot, tormental root and dockens. Thistles are to be found only in good dry land. Some use thistles for feeding pigs. Rushes are only to be found in wet land. Tansy generally grows in broken ground. Crow foot is generaly found in broken ground. Tormental root is found in meadows. Tormental root is used as an herb for curing cattle of sickness. Dockens generally grow in broken ground.
