    Long ago the ordinary candles were not to be found. The people made candles in their houses. They made candles called rush candles. First they peeled the rushes, then they dipped them in fat, and then they let them dry. This is one of the lights they used.
    There is a man named Jim Purcell in Monavea who is a good thatcher. There was a man named Pat Mulhall in Fairymount who could make baskets in a couple of minutes.
    There was a man named Edward Brennan who lived in the Strand and he used to tann his own leather.
