    day to get married. Long ago when a couple was going to get married the man would go to the girl's house He would also take another man with him to settle up the match. It was the custom that the two getting married should ride on two decorated horses to the church, and when they would be coming home it was the custom for wives to sit on the horse with their husbands. The boss of the house gave a dowry which sometimes was money and those who had not money gave stock instead. If it was raining on the morning the pair were getting married it is a sign they will be very unlucky.
    On shrove Tuesday it was the custom to make pancakes. This was also called pancake Tuesday because on that day pancakes were made. Every member
