  1. Whitechurch is situated about five miles from New Ross. It gets its name from the white monks. It is said that they lived in a monastery there years gone by.
In Greenville near Kilmacow there is a bridge over the Blackwater. It is called the Tay-bridge. It gets its name from the River Tay in Scotland. When the bridge was being built Mc Albinnh was building a bridge over the River Tay. The people who were building the bridge said they would call it the Tay-bridge.
