  1. The Hang man's Corner
    Once there was a poor man whose name was Londrigan. One Winter's night he went into a house in Dangan to get in out of the severe weather but he was refused. The people were named Green. The beggar-man said that one of them would be going on the road like him before long. He went out into an out-house and got a piece of rope which he put on a tree and hanged himself. One of the Greens was often refused lodging on a winter's night afterwards.
