  1. The Story of the Trunk of Jewels
Once upon a time there lived a great man who had a great trunk of jewels. When he was going to die he buried his trunk of gold in the Wicklow mountains. Once a band of men went to dig up the gold. When they saw the gold one of them descended to see it and when he thought he was near it he jumped down but he was never seen again.
The others thought he had hurted him self so they went down very cautious but they never saw him or the sparkling jewels again. So they got up very much grieved and when they looked down they could see the jewels.
