- There is a well in Sheastown on the bank of the Nore called Saint Fiachrans Well. St. Fiachra lived here for twenty years or more in prayer. During some of this time he dug a well. After twenty years he went to France where he died. Every year during the month of August the rosary is said and men dress themselves up as angels and sing hymns and glorify God. After they have recited the rosary the people start to sing and dance for the rest of the evening.
