- Whitechurch is situated about five miles from New Ross. It gets its name from the white monks. It is said that they lived in a monastery there years gone by.
In Greenville near Kilmacow there is a bridge over the Blackwater. It is called the Tay-bridge. It gets its name from the River Tay in Scotland.
